A new timetable will continue to evolve from here onwards to accomodate the following classes.
Below is a description of all the classes that are offered
This class is recommended for students beginning Jiu Jitsu or students looking to improve and refine their basic Jiu Jitsu skills. This class focuses on taking an in-depth look at basic Jiu Jitsu positions and breaking down technique and movements.
This class focuses on transitions and combinations, as well as more advanced movements and techniques that address scenarios which occur less often in an attack with and untrained opponent including sparring with strikes both standing and grappling.
Here, concepts are merged with practice, as the student learns to apply the techniques against resistant opponents through specific positional drilling, as well as through live sparring, or “Rolling”. Competition Rules will be explained throughout the class. This class is for active competitors, and includes a vigorous warm up, situational sparring, and competition game planning as well as strategies. This class requires instructor approval.
This class teaches Jiu Jitsu without the gi. Students will become acclimated to the fast-paced world of submission grappling. The class focuses on the difference in grips and movements needed to be successful in training without the gi. Techniques learnt are often used in MMA. This class is open to students of all levels.
BJJ All Levels
This class allows students to drill, train, and spar with other members to improve physical performance and increase technical ability.
Children's Class is split into 2 age groups 5-9 & 10-15.
A qualified instructor, in terms understood by kids, will teach all aspects of BJJ in a safe & friendly learning environment. Such skills taught will develop the students fitness, confidence and self defence. The class focuses on techniques that teach restraint and escape. Outcomes of this class will include improvement in teamwork and skill building.
Sparring is only introduced once child is believed to be ready and under very close supervision of the instructor.
Note that we do our best not to let children get overwhelmed by bigger more mature children by pairing similar size and age groups.
Yoga can be as much or as little as you want it to be. For some it is purely a physical pursuit, keeping the body toned, strong and flexible. For others, yoga becomes more of a mindset and a way of living. Whatever your reason for practicing, regardless of age, experience or level of flexibility - we welcome you. Everyone can benefit from yoga. Our atmosphere is friendly supportive and attitude-free.
